Paper Players 535 Challenge

Welcoming window s sand and c coral

Here in the mountains of Southwestern Virginia, spring flowers are poking their heads above ground, and I am greeting them with joy. Buds are forming on shrubs and trees, and on my daily walk I spend time seeking out the new growths of the season. With this in mind, I created a card reflecting what's to come as the days continue to grow warmer.

To create this card I began with a piece of basic white cardstock cut at 4" x 5 1/4" and embossed it with the Old World Paper folder.

I die cut the window, shutters, and shelf from Sahara Sand cardstock.

Next, I backed the window with vellum for a softer look and then added a curtain behind the window.

I then stamped the flowers in Granny Apple Green and Calypso Coral and added them to the card front.

I finished the front piece with a die cut piece from Painted Labels as a garden border fence, which I placed at the bottom across the floral images.

Last, I mounted the piece on Calypso Coral cardstock cut at 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" and added it to the card base.
