A large leaf die is so versatile. This one has me in its thrall. As I sat down today to create a new card, Nature's Symphony bundle was sitting on my desk. It wasn't long before a plethora of ideas jumped into my brain and I began creating. Oh, what fun!
When I received my recent order, I decided to begin by using the Monthly Special for February. I am quite fond of the Painted Illusions patterned paper. I sat down and a die sitting on my desk sparked an idea. The result is these three cards.
Of course, as soon as I took this set out of the box, I knew I had to try it out. The new textured foil sheets are so beautiful and add just the right touch. The sentiment is a new favorite.
When I saw Michele Jurista's card, I knew I had to create my own version. Because I am not skilled at coloring, I chose to stamp and die cut the large flower. The dramatic contrast with the black adds a special element. I used both current and retired products to create this card.
Everyone loves receiving valentine cards each February. I created this card for my monthly classes. It uses both current and retired Stampin' Up! products.
Woolly Friends is the cutest bundle ever, and I can't stop playing with it. Here it is combined with Forever Floral and an old die from Sending Love. I chose retired patterned paper and kept the colors pastel for a softer look.
One of the shops where I sell my cards loves what the owner calls "bug cards" and I have fun creating them. This one required a bit of fussy cutting, and I used a new die set.
As I was leafing through the Mixed Up Patterns DSP, I was struck by the coordinating green pieces, which I used for this card.`The card is basically monochromatic with Old Olive and Mossy Meadow. It could be a good masculine card.
