I grew up by the Gulf of Mexico and am always, ALWAYS drawn to the sea. When I was 15, I became a Candy Striper at Mound Park Hospital in St. Petersburg. I volunteered there on weekends during the school term and many days in the summer. I vividly remember after my shift going out on the 6th floor porch, which faced Tampa Bay to watch the sailboats. The hospital was not air conditioned, and the sea breeze wafted across the porch in a most satisfying way. This card is in celebration of all my wonderful sea-related memories. We will make this card in an upcoming class even though the stamp bundle is retired. I checked to be sure everyone has the set. We all love creating with what we have on hand.
